A Hat in Time

A Hat in Time Not Coming to Switch, According to Developer

There’s always the sequel, right?

Last year brought the release of a few new 3D platformers like Yooka-Laylee and Super Mario Odyssey. However, one popular title never made it to a Nintendo console, and it looks like it won’t anytime soon. Developers Gears for Breakfast confirmed on twitter that A Hat in Time will not be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

In a reply to a fans questions, the developers stated the port is not coming.

Since the game’s release, fans have repeatedly asked Gears for Breakfast to port A Hat in Time to the Switch. While the team eventually received a Switch dev kit, they refrained from making an official announcement. However, they did state in the past that porting their game from Unreal Engine 3 to the Switch’s Unreal Engine 4 would be difficult.
