Nindies Review: Thumper, Rhythm You Never Knew You Had

Move over Rhythm Heaven; There’s a new game in town.

Thumper, from Drool LLC, is the rhythm game you never knew you wanted. The game features rhythm violence, rhythm action, and blistering speed. Your role in this game is a space beetle in a hellish void trying to confront a giant head that has arrived from the future.

A Rhythm Game Never Felt So Good

The game offers a wide range of content, score leaderboards, and a multitude of in-game levels. The amount of content offered definitely makes this a title that’s worth the $20 price.Thumper

My favorite part about this game has got to be the head boss fights at the end of each set of levels. With out spoiling anything, taking down these bosses definitely adds some unique twists to the gameplay as you progress through the levels. This was my first ever rhythm game, and Thumper has definitely left me wanting to play more games with a similar style.

I find myself always coming back to this game to S rank every level, go for 100% completion on every level with the highest score, and compete on the leaderboard worldwide against everyone. As read above, this game definitely has some replay ability to offer.

Thumper is available on the Nintendo Switch Eshop worldwide for $19.99.
