Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon sold 1.2 million copies over the first three days in Japan, according to Famitsu magazine. This includes download cards and the double pack; however, this doesn’t take into account digital sales.

It’s finally time. Voting for The Game Awards 2017 GOTY is now open, and Nintendo has a couple nominations. Of course, it’s no surprise that Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey made this list, but they have some strong competition. However, GOTY isn’t the only section as Nintendo has nominations in 12 other categories. We’ll list all the Nintendo nominations below.
We already knew about the paid DLC coming to Fire Emblem Warriors over the next few months; however, Nintendo just announced a free Fire Emblem Warriors update coming on November 16. The update includes a new map (Arena Ferox), new costumes, and a new armor break feature. Of course, there are some bug fixes as well.
The team behind ARMS have steadily added new content to the game since its release in June. They also try to tease fans on ARMS twitter account about future updates. The latest tweets seem to be doing just that, hinting at a new jungle-themed stage. Perhaps a plant or jungle fighter is on the way as well?
During today’s Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Direct, Nintendo showed off new details for the upcoming sequel, including a new story trailer. They also revealed their plans for an expansion pack, which includes an expanded-side-story. You can pre-purchase the DLC pack for $29.99. The full title is also available for pre-download now on the eShop.
Now that Super Mario Odyssey is out and selling record-breaking well, Nintendo is moving on to Pokémon and Xenoblade. They announced a new Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Direct for November 7. However, it’s unclear what the Direct will show. The stream also starts fairly early for those in North America, 9 am ET.
Nintendo announced its plans for Black Friday by revealing a Breath of the Wild – Explorer’s Edition and a Zelda 2DS. They also pointed out some of the other special bundles available to buyers this month, including the Odyssey bundle.
In a recent interview, Nintendo of America COO Reggie Fils-Aimé talked about the importance of Zelda and Mario for the Switch. He said the two games offered the one-two punch they were looking for. He also discussed how the Switch and Super Mario Odyssey are about trying new ideas and taking risks.
