While Nintendo already won award after award for games like Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild, the awards just keep coming. Last night, the company racked in nine awards at the DICE Awards, including Game of the Year. In fact, the GotY winner, Breath of the Wild, won three other awards as well. Nintendo won so many awards, the same Nintendo representative who accepted the awards became the star of the show.

Zelda is taking another step outside the field of video games, this time with a famous card game. GameStop is listing The Legend of Zelda Uno version for release this Feb. 15. Walmart also has a listing, which implies more stores will sell the game; however, their website currently lists the item as soldout.

It’s finally time. Voting for The Game Awards 2017 GOTY is now open, and Nintendo has a couple nominations. Of course, it’s no surprise that Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey made this list, but they have some strong competition. However, GOTY isn’t the only section as Nintendo has nominations in 12 other categories. We’ll list all the Nintendo nominations below.
I was expecting Super Mario Odyssey to be a fantastic game. It was a return to form in the vein of Super Mario 64 and Sunshine, and it’s not really a secret that these are some of my favorite games. Despite that, Odyssey still surprised me beyond all belief. There were several moments where I was checking the box to see that I was still playing a Mario Game. It was that inventive and new.
But, let’s get into the nitty-gritty and pinpoint what makes Super Mario Odyssey so amazing.
During a Direct, Nintendo announced their next mobile title will be Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. The Animal Crossing-lite app will feature much of the gameplay fans love from the series. They also revealed that the app will use micro-transactions, although optional. Nintendo is targeting a late November release.
